Overview
Minimum age
21 years. However, you can get the driving license at 18 if you are trained as a professional driver or have completed such training.
Tests
The training concludes with a theory test and a practical test, which lasts 85 minutes.
Requirements
You'll need a medical certificate, proof of first aid course completion, a passport photo, your ID card, and your Category B driving license.
Validity
The license is valid for 5 years and can be renewed for 5-year periods, provided you pass a health check and eye test.
Training
With a Category B license, the theoretical training includes 6 double lessons of basic theory and 10 double lessons of additional theory. With a Category C1 or D1 license, it includes 6 double lessons of basic theory and 4 double lessons of additional practical training. The number of practice hours depends on your driving skills and vehicle handling. Special driving hours are 10 hours and 45 minutes with a Category B license and 5 hours and 45 minutes with a Category C1 license.
Specifications
With a C license, you automatically receive the C1 license as well.
You're allowed to drive
with a gross weight of more than 3,500 kg, designed to carry no more than eight passengers in addition to the driver.

Category CE

With a maximum design speed between 40 km/h and 60 km/h, as well as self-propelled working machines and self-propelled feed mixers, each with a maximum design speed of 40 km/h. All vehicle types must be designed for use in agricultural and forestry purposes and be used for such purposes.
Category C1

If both C1 and C1E are obtained in a combined training course, a total of 8 hours (2 hours solo and 6 hours with a trailer) is required.

With a C1E license, you automatically receive the BE license as well.
You're allowed to drive
With a permissible total weight of more than 750 kg. The total permissible weight of the combination must not exceed 12,000 kg.
