For accompanied driving at 17, you also need:

• You have completed the minimum number of theory lessons.
• Your documents have been fully processed by the traffic authority, and you have received an invoice from the TÜV.
• You have completed the App modules.
• You feel well-prepared and confident.

In this case, we will schedule a trial exam. If you pass with a maximum of 5 errors, we can then schedule an appointment for the official theory test with the TÜV for you.

Your driving instructor will register you for the practical test once you have successfully passed the theory exam and met the required practical training content and objectives.

The minimum age varies depending on the license category. For a car license (Category B/B197/B78), the minimum age is 18 years, or 17 years for accompanied driving. You can register for the respective license class six months before reaching the minimum age. You may take the theory test three months before reaching the minimum age and the practical test one month before. To learn more, visit the ‘Services’ section for the specific license category.

Yes, safety is a top priority for us. Therefore, the following gear must be worn during practical driving lessons:

• motorcycle helmet (not a jet helmet)
• motorcycle jacket (with back protector)
• motorcycle pants (with protectors)
• motorcycle shoes (ankle-high)
• Motorcycle gloves with knuckle protection (not regular gloves like winter gloves).

Initially, the first invoice must be paid upfront. After that, we use a prepaid system. To schedule practical driving lessons, you’ll need to add credit to your account. You can keep track of your balance in the app, and if it runs low, you can easily top it up. Any remaining balance at the end of your training will be refunded.

The B197 driver’s license category is ideal if you prefer automatic cars but want the option to drive manual ones as well. You’ll need to complete at least 10 driving hours of 45 minutes each in a manual car and take a 15-minute test drive at the driving school. This varies based on your skill and how quickly you pick up and apply what you've learned, as everyone learns at their own pace. The number of hours needed for special driving sessions depends on the driver’s license class.

When taking your first driver’s license test, you can have up to 10 error points, but not two instances of 5 points each. For upgrading to the next license class, the limit is 6 error points. For mopeds, it’s 7 error points.

Sure! However, we recommend submitting all your documents soon after registering, as processing with the traffic authority can take some time. This way, everything can proceed smoothly.

To determine which driver’s license class you need to tow a trailer, you must consider the maximum allowable weight of both the trailer and the vehicle, as well as the total weight of the entire combination.

Class B

• Allows you to drive vehicles up to 3.5 tons in maximum allowable weight.
• You can tow a trailer as long as the trailer’s maximum allowable weight does not exceed 750 kg.
• If the trailer exceeds 750 kg, the combined maximum allowable weight of the vehicle and trailer must not exceed 3.5 tons.

Class B96

• An extension of the Class B license.
• Allows you to tow combinations with a total weight of up to 4.25 tons.
• Requires additional training (no exam needed).

Class BE

• Allows you to tow trailers with a maximum allowable weight of up to 3.5 tons.
• The towing vehicle can still weigh a maximum of 3.5 tons.
