Overview

The theoretical training includes 12 double lessons of basic material and 2 double lessons of additional material if you are starting directly. If you already have a license, it’s 6 double lessons of basic theory and 2 double lessons of additional theory. The practical training includes 2 double lessons of practical theory. The number of practice hours depends on your driving skills and vehicle handling. Special drives cover 12 hours and 45 minutes.
Specifications
When you obtain your Category B driver's license, you automatically receive licenses for category AM and L.
You're allowed to drive
with a maximum permissible total mass of no more than 3,500 kg, designed and built to carry no more than eight passengers in addition to the driver.
with a maximum permissible total mass of no more than 750 kg, or if the permissible total mass of the vehicle-trailer combination does not exceed 3,500 kg.
with an engine capacity of up to 50 ccm, a maximum design speed of 45 km/h, and a power output of up to 4 kW (6 PS).

Category BE
Overview

You're allowed to drive
with a permissible gross weight of over 750 kg and a combined weight of more than 3,500 kg. The gross weight of both the towing vehicle and the trailer is limited to 3,500 kg each.
